Proposed deletion of Enforcement in the EU

edit

Hello, Mira Scholten. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Enforcement in the EU, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. jBot-42 22:42, 10 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Enforcement in the EU

edit

The article Enforcement in the EU has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Written like an essay

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. jBot-42 22:43, 10 December 2015 (UTC)

Removal of proposed deletion notice on Enforcement in the EU

Please remember to explain why you removed the proposed deletion notice on the article's talk page. BoxOfChickens (talk · contribs · CSD nominations) 18:50, 11 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

I am concerned about Enforcement in the EU, and have made a formal proposal at the head that it be merged into another article, or that the majority of content for the other article be merged into Enforcement in the EU to create a proper content fork. You should visit the article, follow the link to the discussion, and offer your considered opinion
As the article you created stands it is not suitable to be an article here, and is vulnerable to deletion. Fiddle Faddle 20:10, 11 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
I have taken the liberty of moving it to draft space to give everyone some breathing room. Happy Squirrel (talk) 03:07, 12 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Education courses

edit

We have a formal structure for assisting educators. You very much need to be within it, and need, please, to use your sandbox as a space to create drafts, as will your putative students.

If you are in the USA or Canada, please go to Wikipedia:Education noticeboard and ask there for help in developing your course. If outside those borders I am not sure with precision where to direct you, but someone there will know.

Indeed I am about to take a liberty on your behalf and ask for guidance here, on your talk page, form an experienced editor who knows the answer. I want you and your students to have the best possibility of success.

With regard to Enforcement in the EU it is borderline at best. You would be wise to move it to Draft:Enforcement in the EU, to place {{subs:submit}} at the head, and to work with our review team to make sure it is appropriate to be an article. Fiddle Faddle 19:35, 11 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Please introduce this editor to the Education folk

This request is posted on behalf of the editor, who needs to be introduced to a Wikipedia Education Specialist. Please perform that introduction or show them where to ask. Fiddle Faddle 19:35, 11 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Timtrent: I am trying to figure out where Mira Scholten stated she was planning a Wikipedia course. If it is just the comment on Box of Chicken's talk page, I read it more as that she is going to work on an article about something she had to research anyways to be able to teach it. Mira, can you confirm? Anyhow, if she is planning a course, the place to get help is Wikipedia:Education noticeboard. Hope that helps! Happy Squirrel (talk) 02:22, 12 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Happysquirrel: I am pretty sure that is the place it was mentioned. The Education Noticeboard, though, seems restricted to the USA and Canada, hence my plea for help on their behalf. Courses that escape into the wild with imperfect advice lead to trial s and tribulations for the course leader and the students alike. I am hoping to save that from happening, but I need help to achieve it for them all. Fiddle Faddle 08:24, 12 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
@TimTrent: Just wanted to leave a note to clarify that the Education Noticeboard is not exclusively for instructors in the USA and Canada. Anyone can and should post there! The Wiki Education Foundation (where I work) only supports classes in the USA and Canada, however. Eryk (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:31, 28 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
