Hi Minzminz! This is a response to your feedback that you gave on editing. You mentioned that people kept reverting edits without using the discussion page. I would like to ask you to look back at the reasons they gave for reverting your edits. Is it possible that your edits were just overwritten, improved, or accidentally deleted? If so, don't feel bad, it happens to everyone. People are constantly trying their best to improve Wikipedia, and so edits get changed every minute. Like I said, don't feel bad if your edit was changed or deleted. Users do not need to go through the discussion page for every edit, that would be too much work. If you feel like your edit was constructive, or otherwise wrongly deleted/changed, try sending a message to the person who reverted/changed your edit on their talk page. If you need any more help, you can place {{helpme}}, followed by your question, on this page, or reply below. Thanks, and I hope to see many edits from you in the future!

NOTE: If you wish to reply to my above message, just post it here. I will "watch" your page, so there is no need to do anything else. If you do reply here, place a ":" before your post, so I can distinguish it from mine. Thanks!

Hi Gwickwire! Thanks for the encouragement! I agree, one has to stay calm while writing an encyclopedia :-) Nevertheless, I guess you know the feeling of disappointment, when you believe you did a fair job on an edit, and there comes somebody, who simply seems not to be able to accept that certain information, simple facts (such as quotes, he would have wished his favourite author not to have said...) reach a wide audience.
In moments like those, I get the feeling, that the power of mediation through peaceful communication reaches its limits. So far, I have tried to contribute a little to the german Wikipedia, and I often felt, that what decided over the development of an article, was often the various users' prestige and power position, rather than the power of the better argument. But hey, it is not always that way, is it?
If I have some more questions, I might come back to you. Thank you, and all the best, --Minzminz (talk) 03:13, 8 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
Anytime! And if you need anything else, just follow my instructions above! If you'd like, I can take some time (if I have any) to review your edits that were reverted, and maybe offer some advice?
