What BD means your signature by typing 4 tidles. Tidles can usually be created by shift pressing the button next to 1 on the keyboard. You should also remember to use edit summaries every time you make any edit. Don't worry, as you have done nothing wrong, just remember to follow these tips in the future. Really the template should say sign your posts on talk pages - a lot of what goes into articles is debated on the article talk page (especially for the more controversial articles). If you make a comment on a talk page about what information an article should contain, please sign that comment by adding four tildes (which will magically turn into your signature). No need to make a notice on the talk page for every edit that you make in an article, tho! Cheers! bd2412 T 21:14, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

All but (I believe) three people are volunteers, who contribute to make this encyclopedia grow. There a various things that people may be interested in doing, from writing articles, to expanding them, to reverting vandalism, to maintaining order. There is no special software, anyone can edit, although some of the people who create pictures and graphics may use special software to do so, this software is not related to Wikipedia. For more information, you can look at WP:ABOUT, which should explain the concept to you. I hope you do decide to stay and edit, but even if you don't I wish you well. You should sign your posts to talk pages mainly to make the page easier to read, any time anyone edits an article their change is logged in the page history, which is accessible by clicking the history tab at the top of any page. Reverting will stop most vandalism, and there is no way for an average user to fully destroy an article, indeed not even an administrator can do that. Some vandals move pages as vandalism, which is undone in a different way. You may just want to browse Help:Contents, as it is filled with useful information about every aspect of Wikipedia. Note from a former CCHS Centaur

Hey Corey, I graduated from CCHS last year and found you through editing the school's page. I was just entertaining thoughts of expanding it and I also wanted to ask you how you made those graphics appear on your page (such as that stating your ancestry) since I currently have no idea how and my page is blank. Thanks. P.S. I'd prefer that you respond on my talk page so that I know I'll see it.

Tehran U expulsions

We can mention them of course. maybe under a section called "current events" or something like that.

But it's not the first time. When I was in TU back in the early-mid 90s, they once forcibly retired 13 faculty members of the Physics department alone.

Editcounter

There are tools availible to count thr number of edits you have, the best being . However due to recent changes in the way the English Wikipedia works, it is no longer up to dates. I use the backup tool, which has less features, but is accurate. Note you need to use Mozilla Firefox to use the tool, but as Firefox is free, and has many other advantages, you should get it if you don't currently use it. Here is your editcount summary from the backup tool:

Help!

How do I list the info for U.S. senators below that for U.S. cabinent secretaries in the same box? The person in question is Spencer Abraham. I want to create his title as former senator of Michigan below his secretary of energy title. Minutiaman 20:04, 9 August 2006 (UTC) I would also like to know whether previous government high office holders (department secretaries, governors, senators, etc.) may or should have an infobox at the top of the page, or if they should be reserved for the present person of the position. Hi there. The template on the Spencer Abraham article is preformatted, so it doesn't offer a slot for previous offices. The folks at Wikipedia:Reference_desk/Computing might be able to offer advice for creating a new template
