Welcome to Wikipedia. Your account has been blocked from editing because your username gives the impression that the account represents a group, club, organization, company, or website. Your username is the principal reason for the block. You are welcome to continue editing after you have chosen a new username that complies with Wikipedia's username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable, regardless of the username that you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid or compensated in any way, you must disclose who is paying you to edit here. You may also read our FAQ for article subjects.

Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change. The new username that you choose must represent you as an individual person, and it must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.
 • To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
 • If you prefer to change the username for this account instead, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page (which is this page): .

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be in use by another account. You can use this page to search the list of registered accounts and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If your search returns that "there is no global account for [your search term]", that means it is available.

Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

Appeals: If your username does not represent a group, organization, website, or other entity described above, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page (which is this page):

Thank you. Cabayi (talk) 08:30, 7 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Dear Cabayi,

This user is asking that their block be reviewed:

Mimilabs (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

Mimilabs is my web name - is is a name I use to contribute to various open source communities and web articles. It is not an organization or any company. If it is easier, I can change the username to be something different, which I don't mind. Thanks so much. Mimilabs (talk) 11:33, 7 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Notes:

 • In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
 • Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.

If you accept the unblock request, replace this template with the following, substituting Accept reason here with your rationale:

Unblock requests are to ask for a third party review. If you wish to negotiate with Cabayi as the blocking admin, you don't need to make an unblock request. That said, my strong suggestion would be that you change your username, as there is a company by that name, and changing your name would reduce the grief you might get from others who may notice your username. I don't think you are required to do so by policy, as you aren't editing about the company- but I think it's a good idea for you to. 331dot (talk) 13:47, 7 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
