Speedy deletion nomination of User:Image ias/sandbox edit

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Image ias/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes or publicises a company, product, group or service. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. There have been two problems identified with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia; and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

This blocked user is asking that their block be reviewed on the Unblock Ticket Request System:

Request reason:

I prepared in good faith an article about non-profit journal Image Analysis & Stereology, as are many other articles on Wiki, such as: [1] Why would a small group of non-profit volunteers be blocked when mentioning our scientific journal with 30 years of tradition. There are hundreds of scientific journals presented on Wikipedia: [2] It is disappointing that my article is speedy deleted and I am blocked from editing Wikipedia. Springer is a multinational profit oriented company and they are allowed to have their journals presented on Wikipedia. It seems an obvious error that we were blocked when trying to do the same. Image ias (talk) 07:14, 5 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

Far from indicating that you understand the reason for the block and will not make the same mistake again, your unblock request makes it clear that you do not understand or do not accept the reason for the block, and that you fully intend to continue to do the same. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  Hello, Mimag343. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 09:43, 5 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Declaration regarding conflicts of interest edit

I have added the declaration to the talk page: The editor Mimag343 has no conflict of interest. It does not involve contribution of friends, clients, employers, or has any financial relationships. The only relationship to declare is, that the editor does pro-bono volunteer work connected to the Wikipedia contribution. Mimag343 (talk) 10:37, 5 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

See also WP:JWG for tips on how to improve journal articles, but it seems likely that you have already followed it. One thing though, that image is likely not your own work, and will likely get deleted from Wikimedia commons. WP:JWG#Cover has some details on how to do this properly, but I'll give you a hand if you run into issues.Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 12:01, 5 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of International Society for Stereology & Image Analysis edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on International Society for Stereology & Image Analysis, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
