Re: Daigacon

At first, I had thought about tagging it for speedy deletion. However, given that it was a new article, I thought it best to putting the notability tag on it and give an editor a chance to correct the notability problem first. If it wasn't fixed in a couple of weeks, then I would have went ahead with the speedy delete. --Farix (Talk) 03:06, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

The image Grandtraverselighthouse.jpg is a candidate to be copied to the Wikimedia Commons. When you uploaded this image, you licensed it for use under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL). On behalf of the Wikipedia and Commons communities, thank you.

You also chose a license tag which adds disclaimers to the GFDL. As explained at Wikipedia:GFDL standardization, these disclaimers cause certain re-use problems that make the GFDL less free than it could be.

Hi! I decided not to copy this image over to the Commons for the time being, but for a completely separate reason that the disclaimers issue above. My current concern has to do with conflicting information on the image description page regarding authorship and licensing. I've fully explained at Image talk:Grandtraverselighthouse.jpg. If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

• make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
• Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
