Please do not delete the aforementioned page. Although I made a user name similar to the article title, I assure that I am not the rapper. My name is Vanessa Denis and had issues starting the page, I misunderstood thinking I needed to created an account the same name as the article I intended on creating. I also, intend on adding resources section for the article verifying the references.

Sincerely, Vanessa Denis

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Mike Jaggerr. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Mike Jaggerr (Rapper). Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Mike Jaggerr (Rapper) - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. First Light (talk) 06:01, 14 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Mike Jaggerr (Rapper)

edit

The article Mike Jaggerr (Rapper) has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. February 2011

edit

You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, instead of writing it yourself. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. E Wing (talk) 06:03, 14 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Username concerns

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. However, I noticed that your username (Mike Jaggerr (Rapper)) may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it is confusing, as it suggests that you are Mike Jaggerr, a possibly notable person that you started an article about. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account and use that for editing. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 06:31, 14 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Name

edit

Please do not delete the aforementioned page (Mike Jaggerr). Although I made a user name similar to the article title. I can assure that I am not the rapper Mike Jaggerr page is about. My name is Vanessa Denis (Author) and had issues starting the page, I misunderstood thinking I needed to created an account the same name as the article I intended on creating. I also, intend on adding resources section for the article verifying the references. The published article is not a bio page about myself. I repeat, the user name is the same as the rapper I wrote the article about.

Sincerely, Vanessa Denis (Mike Jaggerr (Rapper) (talk) 06:56, 14 February 2011 (UTC))Reply

I moved this from your user page to your user talk page.
You need to change username, as shown above.
I don't think that the article, Mike Jaggerr, will be speedily-deleted, but it needs considerable work, to improve the references, and it may be subject to a deletion discussion - but if that happened, you would have a chance to improve it, during at least seven days of discussion.  Chzz  ►  21:41, 14 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Mike Jaggerr (article) and username conflict

edit

As you have seen above, there are a few issues with your user name, besides the issues noted in the article. The user name matches the subject of the article. That is an autobiography and not acceptable. You have removed the Autobiography and Conflict of Interest tags, stating that you are not the subject of the article and if that is true, then you are impersonating somebody else and is in clear violation of the username policy, specifically the section on real names. If you are not the person named in the article, please ask for a name change, and refrain from posting until a new name is issued. You can also just create a new account and start editing that way, though the conflict of interest rules still apply. If you continue impersonating another person your account will be blocked without further notice. -- Alexf(talk) 22:47, 14 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Mike Jaggerr

edit

The article Mike Jaggerr has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of notability. Most of the references are not reliable sources or are promotional or both.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
