An older name is almost always (but not inevitably) the correct name for a species. Here the "Lance" authority is for the more recent name, which is considered a synonym of the old one I think. Not that I have really researched it thoroughly, that's just my impression from what I saw quickly on Sea Slug Forum. Best, Invertzoo (talk) 14:49, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
