"The Hon" and Politician Userboxes

I've noticed you've been removing "The Hon" from the former Government ministers' infoboxes. You may like to know that in the Federal Parliament, and also in several state parliaments (Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia), the title "The Honourable", referring to a minister of the Crown, is a title that is retained for life. In NSW, SA and TAS the Premier can ask the Governor to continue to allow members to use the style "The Honourable" for life as well, but it is not automatic. In Federal Parliament, it is at the discretion of the Governor-General to terminate appointments to the Executive Council (all ministers plus the Governor-General), and with only one exception, all members of the Federal Parliament who have held ministerial office have continued to hold that title for life. (At the time of writing, the Wikipedia page is wrong on this, by the way). It is therefore inappropriate to remove these from the Howard Government ministers.

On a second point, the infoboxes have been designed to record all major appointments of ministers and ex-ministers and MPs and ex-MPs. This is consistent with a style adopted across all politicians worldwide. Please don't delete them as they contain valuable information and a large number of users (which did not include myself) have decided to adopt this standard already. Sydney suburbs

yes I have tagged many suburbs mainly history sections. the references do not supply full citation on the complete history as spelt out in the articles. I find this a weakness of many suburb entries in Sydney. as they contain many unverified claims. The book of sydney suburbs is difficult to verify without an online reference. Page numbers are preferred for book citations Michellecrisp (talk) 06:33, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

The tagging concerns me because I've spent a lot of time researching and writing articles on Sydney suburbs. Often, the same resource may be used for the various sections such as introduction, History, Commercial Area, Education. That's why I've added the reference material under the Reference heading and not linked it to every particular sections. It concerns me when these tags in various sections are added because this gives other people the right to remove information when a separate reference hasn't been provided. I have spent a great deal of time and effort compiling this information and I don't want see any of it deleted, especially when the reference has been provided in the article. I hope you understand my concerns. J Bar (talk) 12:09, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
