For Common Cause edit

Although I could restore the text, I think you are better to start form scratch. The deleted article was highly promotional in tone, mostly aims and claims sourced only to the organisation itself. It was very light on facts, such as financials, or on verifiable achievements (rather than vague claims). If you go ahead, please ensure that you

  • provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines.
  • write in a non-promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic.
  • include facts that help to establish notability.
  • do not copy text even from the organisation's website. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.
  • You have an obvious conflict of interest when it comes to editing articles about this subject. Thank you for declaring your interest. If, after reading the information about notability linked above, you still believe that your organisation is notable enough for a Wikipedia article (and that there is significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources), you could, if you wish, post a request at Wikipedia:Requested articles for the article to be created. See also Wikipedia:Best practices for editors with conflicts of interest.

Common Cause edit

I've got to log off soon, so it will be tomorrow before I can take a proper look. Two quick things: social media, like LinkedIn, should not be used as references, and headings should have normal capitalisation (first word and proper nouns only) Jimfbleak - talk to me? 18:48, 22 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

I made this edit, partly formatting etc, but I also removed obviously non-RS sources such as blogs. Some of your refs are a bit suspect, but there are enough decent ones to be OK. I removed the "Feedback" section except for the good and well-sourced RBS fact. It's obvious self-promotion with the first three paras sourced to a one-person vox pop, a blog and the organisation itself. Stick to verifiable facts.
I get little sense of the notability of this organisation. How is it funded? How many paid staff/volunteers are involved? What does it spend? From what we are told it could be six people with a budget of £200. This is important because an article only about what you do looks spammy if you don't give hard facts about the organisation. It's obviously better now, but if you could add the factual data I've suggested it would make it less likely to be challenged either on notability or promotional grounds.
I hope this helps Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:00, 23 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
I made this edit, links mainly. That is more what was needed. I think the level of notability could be questioned, but there is nothing you can do about that. It's decently referenced and has factual data, so if you are happy to do so use the Move button to put it back in article space. I'm OK with the article as it stands, but others may not agree, so you will just have to see what happens. Good luck Jimfbleak - talk to me? 16:46, 23 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Just out of idle curiosity, I wonder why someone from LA is interested in a London charity. You are obviously under no obligation to satisfy my curiosity. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 16:50, 23 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject Samsung Electronics edit

Hello, Michellecow. I recently made a proposal to create Wikiproject Samsung Electronics and was hoping that you would like to be among the first to support it! I chose you as I noticed you were a part of WikiProject Technology and I believe that you would be invaluable to the WikiProject once it is formed. If you would look over and put your name on this page, it would mean a lot to me! Thanks, EDG 543 (talk) 14:53, 8 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
