July 2008 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Cheswardine has been reverted. Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: 'googlepages\.com' (link(s): http://goldstoneshropshire.googlepages.com/. http://cheswardinemanor.googlepages.com/home) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thorougly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creators copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).

If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 06:50, 25 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:JaneCarr1943.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:JaneCarr1943.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 07:05, 1 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:JaneCarr1943.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:JaneCarr1943.jpg. There is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license. By "creator" Wikipedia means the original author.

If the file has previously been published elsewhere (especially online), please have the original author either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating their ownership of the material and thier intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria, use a tag such as {{non-free promotional}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags/Non-free, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article, or articles, where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. FOr more information please see your thread at the Media copyright questions page - Choosing the correct image tag. Thank you. Soundvisions1 (talk) 16:30, 1 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
