Format of dates for a living person edit

For your information, at the top of a biographical article about a living person, Wikipedia does not use the form "(year -)" but the form (born year). An article about me, for example, would start "David Siegel (born 1960) is a ..." and not "David Siegel (1960 -) is a ...". This is just a heads up. Also, as per WP:DOB, only the year, not the exact birth date, should be used of living people unless the full date has already been widely published, or published by the person him- or herself, for example on that person's personal web site. I hope this is helpful. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 19:32, 12 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
