Michael P. Howlett edit

Heya, this article needs some cleanup; right now it's lacking references, and has a long list in paragraph format that's very hard to read (I've added the appropriate cleanup templates to the page). If this is a notable figure, some sourced biography and background would be useful. Good luck! - superβεεcat  07:47, 19 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs edit

Hello Mi9cal! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 938 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Fails WP:GNG.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Conflict? edit

Hello! I see you are editing several articles related to Michael P Howlett. Do you have a conflict of interest with these articles--i.e. are you him, do you work for him, or do you know him? Please read WP:COI. COI editing sometimes leads to unintended consequences like articles in the wider press of the type "X edits their own" Wikipedia page. Speedy deletion nomination of Policy Sciences (Journal) edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Policy Sciences (Journal) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from {{{value1}}}. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Speedy deletion nomination of Policy Sciences (Journal) edit

Hello Mi9cal,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Policy Sciences (Journal) for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 17:56, 24 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Policy Sciences edit

Please stop adding copyrighted and promotional material to Wikipedia. If you continue to recreate this article, I will block you from editing. Having said this, the journal seems to meet our inclusion criteria and an article on it could be created (at the correct title: Policy Sciences (journal)) IF it doesn't contain text from Journalguide.com or the Springer website. Please have a look at our journal article writing guide, where you can see how, even if you have a conflict of interest, you can create a neutral and encyclopedic article on an academic journal. I see that you yet again created this article, so I am yet again going to delete it. I will also ignore the comment on the talk page, but please read WP:AGF and WP:NPA. Thanks. --Randykitty (talk) 17:58, 24 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 18:12, 24 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

April 2016 edit

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for violating copyright policy by copying text or images into Wikipedia from another source without verifying permission. You have been previously warned that this is against policy, but have persisted. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Randykitty (talk) 19:36, 24 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • I find it disappointing that even after our policies had been explained to you multiple times and I tried to give you some hints on how to write an acceptable article, you chose to re-create the same copyvio article yet again. I have blocked you for 24 hours to stop this disruption and give you time to time to reconsider. However, should you continue as you have today, you will face a much longer or even an indefinite block. --Randykitty (talk) 19:39, 24 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
