Orphaned fair use image (Image:BrittleInnings.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:BrittleInnings.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Fritz S. (Talk) 11:55, 27 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

re: Lanark edit

Sorry, I misread the article, apparently. From my first perusal of the Wiki article, I had thought "Lanark" was the name of a town, not a character. Rereading, I find I was wrong. Thanks for catching my error. Applejuicefool 17:58, 18 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re: Dashiell Hammett fix-ups edit

Thank you for your message, and I apologize for the lateness of my reply. I appreciate the information, and admit that it is all new to me. Have you added this to the article? If not, please do so, as it is invaluable. Thanks again. ---RepublicanJacobiteThe'FortyFive' 21:53, 14 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'll see the improvements after a week but wait longer since you are less active. Hometech (talk) 18:50, 6 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

July 2012 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not replace pages with blank content, as you did with this edit to Curtis Books, as this is confusing to readers. The page's content has been restored for now. If there is a problem with the page, it should be edited or reverted to a previous version if possible; if you think the page should be removed entirely, see further information. Thank you. IronGargoyle (talk) 13:30, 16 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

It was a false redirect. I was in the process of adding correct data when your edit conflicted with mine. In the future, I will add new data before removing bad redirects. Thanks. Mhhutchins (talk) 13:31, 16 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
