Sources in Wikipedia articles, especially in biographies

Hi, if you create an article or a draft, do not use any content scraper websites, celebrity gossip websites, user generated websites, or other unreliable sites as sources. This is particularly important in biographies about living people, but the same policy applies to all articles. In Flying Beast, the following sources had to be removed because they are not acceptable: the junk scrapers/autogenerated websites stardombio.com, tring.co.in, thewikifeed, bollywoodshaadis, startuptalky, and woodgram; also leverageedu, ischoolconnect, and karnatakastateopenuniversity, which look like they are informational sites about education (which would make them poor sources for a biography anyway) but are actually also scrapers or autogenerated junk; pinkvilla and tellychakkar, which are listed as unreliable here; and the gossip blog missmalini which was a dead link, and part of a large group of unnecessary references. --bonadea contributions talk 17:07, 24 February 2023 (UTC)

Spamming links in see also

Hi, please do not add links to unrelated articles in see also sections of pages. See WP:SEEALSO for the guidelines on this topic; two random upcoming games are certainly not relevant enough to any of the articles you added them to. Indiscriminantly spamming has the appearance of being extremely promotional; Wikipedia does not exist as advertising space.

P.S. do you have any relation or connection to the studios developing Underworld Gang Wars or Indus Battle Royale? eviolite (talk) 04:15, 25 February 2023 (UTC)

Hey Eviolite, please assume good faith. While adding wikilinks to a handful of articles just because they are considered battle royal games is unnecessary and deserve to be reverted, it's a far cry from WP:SPAM or WP:PROMO. soetermans. ^{↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK} 13:41, 25 February 2023 (UTC)

@Soetermans: My apologies; I had mainly been concerned because of the wording in the linked articles (e.g. The gameplay trailer for Indus Battle Royale shows what SuperGaming has in store for players. It offers a first look at the next game's gameplay, setting, characters, and visuals., The game's creators wanted to give players something new, so they put a lot of thought into the game's concept, weapons, and levels), though I understand that this can be explained by being new to editing and not being too familiar with NPOV/ eviolite (talk) 15:11, 25 February 2023 (UTC)
