Name changes edit

You really should get agreement for something like this on the talk page. When I search Google books the original name comes up about twice as much as the new one. GScholar shows not much difference between the two). See WP:MOVE. Doug Weller talk 13:54, 5 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

  • I thought we are looking for common name for a common man in the street. Not a scientific name for exclusive scientific community. Large part of Muslim world are also English speakers and they don't spell Ibn al-Haytham like Alhazen. I am a Pakistani Muslim who went to English language schools all my life and I never heard the word Alhazen until only when I saw it on Wikipedia. September 2016 edit

Hello, I'm CAPTAIN RAJU. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —the one you made with this edit to Islam— because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. • EvergreenFir, Thank you for the WP:BRD correction, never knew this policy existed. It is hard to find these policies as they are not located in one place. Metaphysicswar (talk) 02:55, 10 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Sockpuppet investigation edit

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Eulalefty, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
