Proposed deletion of Jacques Zafra edit

The article Jacques Zafra has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Searching for sources on this composer who did his master degree in 2015, it appears to be a Wikipedia:Too soon case: the basic notability guideline for people is not met, and no sources were found that would likely make subject notable under the additional criteria for composers.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

I have edited the article, could you tell me please if it now fits the guidelines? Thanks Metalljac (talk) 10:53, 13 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Contrary to Sam Sailor's suggestion, you (as creator and major contributor) are not permitted to remove the PROD template from the article. The article is a biography of a living person and consequently the rules concerning notability and referencing are applied very strictly. A search for supporting sources suggests that this person is nowhere near the threshold of notability for inclusion within the project. I would also note that although references are included, each claim should have an in-line link to the appropriate reference. As it stands the entire article only has five in-line reference links.
If you genuinely took the photo of the subject, as claimed, then this strongly suggests that you have an undisclosed close connection with the article subject. You may therefore be in breach of the conflict of interest policy. If you do not have a close connection and did not take the photo, then you may be in breach of the copyright of the photo. These last points needs to be clarified one way or the other. --Elektrik Fanne 11:33, 13 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
Part stricken. Per WP:PROD, the creator can delete the PROD tag from the article. However, as pointed out, it is likely to be proposed for AfD so you will only be delaying the inevitable. --Elektrik Fanne 11:59, 13 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
