You have a good start here, Mengsun945. I'm not sure that either of the HD poems would meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines alone. However, you might create a spur page for an H.D. collection that contains those poems, and include a summary of those works and of the criticism of those works. I noticed, along those lines, that none of H.D.'s poetry collections have their own page (although they are listed on her author page), so this is a place you could contribute. Either of the other topics you've suggested might work well, depending on how you want to contribute. You could add more information on how City upon a Hill has occurred in American politics (you'd need to do research to back this up, of course), or expand on some of the rhetorical strategies Harriet Jacobs uses in her narrative. I look forward to seeing what you choose!
Finally, a note about formatting: Above, you've linked the wrong Oread, and have connected us to the mythological figure, not the poem. There is no page for the poem proper, but you could certainly expand on the information on this article to include a mention of H.D.'s poem. Also, when you link to an internal article on Wikipedia, you only need to use the internal link markup, not the external link markup. - There's only use of city upon a Hill in American politics,but it doesn't show how this theme occurs in American politics and there's no influence of it on American politics,either.I will do some research and find out how City upon a Hill occurs American politics and have a deep influence till today.I will add a topic of "Influence on American Politics"
- Different presidents advocate this same concept in different ways.In the "use in politics" edition,there are only President Kennedy's and President Reagan's opinions toward this theme. I will add how the other presidents of different times explain this theme.
- There's something diverse of City upon a Hill.I will research about the differences that makes American politics unique comparing with other countries' politics.

- Her User Talk page does show that she knows how to work Wikipedia.
- The suggestions that she has seem to be relevant to add to the City Upon A Hill page.
- Her topic does deal with American Literature and A City Upon a Hill has been around in American Literature for so long, that I do believe her information is notable enough to add to the City Upon a Hill page.
- One thing that I do have a concern about is the "Influence on American Politics" section that you want to add. Make sure that what you find in your research is not based on the opinion of you or another person.

- The writer was correct to add some examples from American politics, because this is truly a concept to which our politicians frequently make reference. However, I think some of the examples run too far afield of the topic "City Upon a Hill." They really are examples of American Exceptionalism. While American Exceptionalism is a concept that may have been derived from the notion of a City on a Hill - certainly beginning with Reagan's use of it we can see the connection between the two. However, the article itself does not provide nor cite support for the connection. That would have to be explicitly set out and referenced. Otherwise, it's just the writer/editor's own opinion. The City Upon the Hill concept as used in the Bible, and by John Winthrop have to do with the notion that everyone is watching, and perhaps an exhortation to be a model for the rest of the world. Whereas American exceptionalism "is the theory that the United States is inherently different from other nations." I have made a note in the talk page and made some changes in the article. On the relevant wiki page, there's nothing about how "city upon a hill" occurs in American politics, which is an important process for this theme. I will do some research mainly referring to three books:1. Another View of the City Upon a Hill: The Prophetic Vision of Adrienne Rich by Wendy Martin,2. Confluence, Confirmation, and Conservation at the Crossroads: Intersecting Junctures in the Interesting Narrative of the Life and the Souls of Black Folk by Wilfred D Samuels,3. Winthrop John, An introduction to West of Righteous by Cornel West and Anders Stephanson.
Meanwhile,there are only President Kennedy's and President Reagan's opinions toward this theme. I will complement President Reagan's opinions referring to the book A city upon a hill : speeches by Ronald Reagan before the Conservative Political Action Conference, 1974-1988.I will also add how the other presidents,such as President George.W.Bush and President Barack Obama think of city upon a hill.1. - Mengsun, I think these edits look promising, but you still need to clarify a few things. I agree that the "Use in American Politics" section is incomplete, but the page does already have something to say about how the term is used in American politics. Revising that section will work for the purposes you've outlined above, so I'm not sure what you think needs to be in a new section. Also, I think that discussing this idea in other countries is a fantastic idea. However, that information should be included as new sections on the City Upon A Hill page, rather than on the separate pages for each country (or at the very least, that information should appear on both pages, perhaps as a redirect on one or the other. As you can see, someone has already added a relevant "Use in Australia" section that you could use as a model. Now, 2 critiques: 1. you haven't posted your proposed edits to the [[City upon a hill]} page, as required by 10/31, and 2. Internal linking is still incorrect here.
