Also, you mass-added a sentence of the following form into the lede of many artist articles:

On October 28, 2009, DJ Magazine announced the results of their annual Top 100 DJ Poll, with Ultra Records artist XY placed at #nn. (example).

Per Wikipedia:Lead section, the lede should summarize the most important points about the article's subject. In most cases, this year's poll results of a particular magazine cannot be considered an event of central importance in that artist's life and belongs to a later section, where awards and other such poll results are already mentioned.

Also, referring to the article's subject as "Ultra Records artist XY" is undue emphasis of their label affiliation, which is already mentioned elsewhere in the article.

Album notability

Thanks for the question. As a minimum standard for an album, the artist must have their own article. So compilations of notable artists should be notable, but I've come across many non-notable compilations in my time (as I'm sure have you). Indeed, several UK daily newspapers went thru a phase of handing out free compilations of very well known tracks by very notable artistes - which did not make the freebie cds notable at all!! Information on the album's sales, its placing in any applicable chart or listing, any award, or indeed a review from a reliable source are all good things to add, as they help to demonstrate that this is a notable album, and not a compilation of b-sides and fillers, put together to sell for $2.50 in supermarkets. In general, compilation albums (especially multi-musician albums) are very hard to establish notability on, basically because they are seldom notable. Notability is neither contagious nor inherited; thus, the fact that the musicians and/or songs on the album are notable, does not make the album itself notable in any way. If you can't provide some substantial coverage of the album itself (not the constituent songs, nor the musicians involved, but the album), your case is going to fail. --Orange Mike | Talk 13:57, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
