Controversies in autism

edit

Hi Memzy! How come you moved the "controversies in autism" section from autism to controversies in autism? If you feel the autism article was getting unwieldy and wanted to chunk it into smaller articles, then I understand. It's a good idea to discuss those sorts of changes on the article's talk page.

Also, when you remove sections from an article to another page, it's good practice to leave a summary of the section at the main article, and then link to the new page with "Main article: Controversies in autism" just below the heading. Best, Diberri | Talk 19:15, Aug 25, 2004 (UTC)

Thanks for the explanation. I hope you didn't think I was calling your behavior rude; all I was hoping for was to understand your intent. Including an edit summary with your edits would probably help a lot. Thanks! --Diberri | Talk 19:44, Aug 25, 2004 (UTC)

I'll take a deeper look when I get a chance. From Talk:Autism, I get the impression that there are still large parts of the text that were copied wholesale from other (PD, I presume) sources. That's an automatic turn off for me, unfortunately :-( Also, though I am interested in the general quality of the article, I admit that I know very little about the subject, so my ability to help refine the article is very limited. At first glance though, the article seems to be looking good. I'll do some copyediting when I come up for air :-) --Diberri | Talk 04:01, Aug 26, 2004 (UTC)

I thought you were asking me to look at the Autism page and help refine it. Hence my comments regarding Talk:Autism saying that the article is copied from other sources. I'll give Controversies in autism a look soon. Thanks for explaining. --Diberri | Talk 14:39, Aug 26, 2004 (UTC)

No problem. Thanks again for clarifying. --Diberri | Talk 17:03, Aug 26, 2004 (UTC)
P.S. Did you know you can sign/date your comments with ~~~~ at the end of your message? It's useful when tracking the progress of a conversation. Also, you might want to stick some content on your user page so that fellow Wikipedians won't mistake you for a brand-newbie.

More autism controversy.

Memzy, I'm a little afraid, becuase the Cure Autism Now page contains practically all copyrighted material. I would suggest that you write in your own words rather than taking it from the site. ;) We do welcome your enuthiusm though. I myself is autistic and I hate CAN. I do support you work though. --Saint-Paddy 01:23, 1 Sep 2004 (UTC)
