Mad World video

Hello. Regarding your edits to the Mad World page, Steve Barron did not direct this video, it was Clive Richardson for "Blue Pencil Productions". This is confirmed on both the end credits and outer cover of their 1983 "Videosingles" cassette, and also on the "Tears Roll Down" video collection (although it is merely credited to Blue Pencil on that, which is the company Richardson worked for at that time). Steve Barron did not work with TFF until Pale Shelter several months later. I know that you added an IMDB cite to the info, but IMDB is not a reputable site for such information as anyone can edit it (much the same as Wikipedia). Hi. Yes, The Videosingles definitely states Richardson as the director of Mad World. If you like, I can e-mail you a full scan of the cover which credits him on the back. As for IMDB - they have the Tears Roll Down compilation listed as 1996 - which shows how "accurate" that is! And the Music Video Directory is just a project run by a music video fan whose credentials are unknown (but its not a record company or an agent of any kind). The thing about internet info is that just one piece of misinformation from one source can multiply and become widespread. I imagine Blue Pencil are long-since gone now as they were really an early 80s outfit, so finding other sources online would be difficult. You can't really get more official than the product itself though. Is the Video 45 compilation you refer to a non-UK version of the 1983 videosingles? MassassiUK (talk) 23:50, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
