- thanks for your work at Jacob Soll, however, a copypaste from the macarthur web biography is a no no. please review the WP:copyrights policy. (if you could rewrite it, it might be ok) also i think it's important to keep the macarthur award in the lead, since it goes to notability. please review Wikipedia:Notability (academics). thanks Slowking4: 7@1|x 00:40, 29 September 2011 (UTC)
Soll bio
editYes, thanks for the info, but there are always lots of rules to deal with here. We can summarize and cite the bio if it's on the net, but we can't copy it. If he wants to release it to the public domain, perhaps he can do that online at his rutgers website. Or he can write a note to WP:OTRS releasing the info via a free license. Another possible problem, you probably have a WP:Conflict of Interest.
And do ask me to tell you about WP:Don't bite the newbies.
Well now that I've got that out of my system - I'll try to rewrite the bio in a form that is not plagiarized or copyrighted and, yes, you can help.
And do give the good doctor our congratulations. If he wants to study a current Machiavellian system ....
All the best. Smallbones (talk) 03:44, 29 September 2011 (UTC)
- Melissasusan, thanks for the prompt response, and user statement. (should have already had a bio after the guggenheim) hope you won't be getting acquainted with vandalism. Slowking4: 7@1|x 14:29, 29 September 2011 (UTC)
I'm not sure what you mean by vandalism. The information posted on that article was true and straight from the source. If anyone is qualified to speak about his own biography, I would imagine it's the actual guy.Melissasusan (talk) 17:41, 29 September 2011 (UTC)
