Managing a conflict of interest edit

Hello, Melissa Eisenhower Muraco. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Family of Dwight D. Eisenhower, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Notability is best demonstrated by the subject having their own article. If they do not, they are probably not notable enough for inclusion. Including yourself is considered advertising, please do not. Ifnord (talk) 16:01, 6 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

November 2021 edit

Hello, I'm DigitalChutney. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Susan Eisenhower, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DigitalChutney (talk) 17:18, 6 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello. Your recent edit to Eisenhower (surname) appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a social networking site edit

Hello. You may not realize that what we're trying to build is an encyclopedia. There is a good article on what Wikipedia is (WP:ABOUT) and, perhaps more importantly, what is it not (WP:ISNOT). Your edits, including your user page, all appear self-promotional. The usual advice is that one should never edit about themselves. If one sufficiently notable, someone will write about them. If not, then they should not be included in a global encyclopedia. Notability guidelines exist for general topics (WP:GNG) and for people (WP:ANYBIO), specifically we have a policy that notability is not inherited. One isn't notable simply for being related to someone else. I am open to civil discourse if you wish to know more; there is also a "teahouse" (WP:TH) where questions are welcomed. Speedy deletion nomination of Melissa Eisenhower Muraco edit

Hello Melissa Eisenhower Muraco,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Melissa Eisenhower Muraco for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!
