Managing a conflict of interest

Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Hi Megaride, while the AfD discussion is proceeding, you can add useful material the version of the article that is being discussed. Remember, the article should stick closely to what reliable sources have said about it. It may just be WP:TOOSOON for Maveryx, and as time goes by more said the product and/or company will pass WP:GNG. If that happens, the article can be un-deleted or re-created. If it is any consolation, that happened to me -- an article I cared about (Suhai Aziz Talpur got AfDed in May 2018 but in November 2018 there was a lot more news about her, and the article was re-born. HouseOfChange (talk) 23:29, 12 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

@HouseOfChange: thank you for the advice (I will try to fix the article issues in the next days) and the consolation. --Megaride (talk) 20:18, 13 January 2021 (UTC) HouseOfChange, yesterday I added three thesis, from 3 different universities, to the Maveryx (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) article's references, and few days before I wrote a statement in the related talk page to fix the COI issue. I did expect a reply to theese changes but today I just discovered that the article was deleted. No messages at all. Can you please help me understand what happened? --Megaride (talk) 15:07, 20 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Megaride, I did not see your later additions, and the history of the article has been deleted together with the article. Recall that GNG requires "significant coverage". You can ask for a deletion review based on the fact that earlier !votes predated your new evidence. But with or without GNG, the article couldn't survive in its present form, basically a brochure for the product. I suggest instead you concentrate on getting some actual news coverage, even local coverage, for the product and the company--coverage that could count as RS for a future article. You can then ask for a deletion review based on that evidence. HouseOfChange (talk) 15:23, 20 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

The reason left by K.e.coffman was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: Does not meet WP:NORG.
K.e.coffman (talk) 01:58, 8 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

@K.e.coffman: first of all, thank you for the review. Please can you give me more details about this rejection. The Maveryx Framework article submission is the result of the work I made after very long talk with other colleagues of yours. They gave me a lot of suggestions to complete the draft according to the WP:NORG, the COI, etc... At this point, I really don't understand what I'm missing or doing wrong. Can you please help me? --Megaride (talk) 14:38, 12 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
