License tagging for Image:DanSchneider.JPG edit

Thanks for uploading Image:DanSchneider.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

Dan Schneider (TV/Movie Producer, Writer, Actor) edit

I understand that you are trying to get the title of Dan Schneider (TV/Movie Producer, Writer, Actor) to be as accurate as possible but this is just creating confusion. In addition, all of this moving around is messing up the links from other articles and will also mess up the Google links and such (meaning people won't find info on this guy). I'm going to move this article back to Dan Schneider (TV producer) since that was the original link, it's what most articles link to, and it's what he's most known for. Best, --Alabamaboy 20:29, 6 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

I should also add that several other editors have asked you to stop moving the article around.--Alabamaboy 20:33, 6 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

To those of you who have been involved in cleaning up this page...I appreciate your helpful words. I now understand, a bit better, how Wikipedia works. I never intended to cause a hastle. Thank you very much for your help. -- MdnnaJay

Yes, keeping it as his major part of the resume is what we prefer. It's really only to keep link names easier to type and others. As for the pic, it doesn't need to be uploaded 5 times, just the 1 suffices. I think you got the hang of it now though, I'll keep an eye on the article though, but I think you got it.--Wizardman 23:59, 6 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
Oh, and for the picture, I believe there is a PD-author tag (where it says the author, or Dan Schneider, has released it), however you would have to find proof that he in fact did this. Sorry if I seemed rude earlier.--Wizardman 00:04, 7 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

You were not rude. Please, I do understand. So what suffices as proof RE: His release of the picture to me? Also, RE: uploading it five times. I didn't know where the picture went at first so I thought I kept making mistakes. I am a Kinesthetic Learner, but yes, you have actually helped me a great deal. Thank you for keeping an eye out.

Well, proof of releasing the picture, I'm honestly not sure. I guess put the tag up and if someone questions you about it, just give them whatever proof they ask for. I'll handle the excess pictures as i find them, they're no biggie.--Wizardman 00:16, 7 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
