October 2016 edit

  Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Peekshare , as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. Meters (talk) 19:29, 1 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

  Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Peekshare . Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. Meters (talk) 19:29, 1 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

According to the wikipedia article on PROD's, they are distinct from the Articles for deletion process. Please clariy how deleting a PROD relates to your comments on the AfD process. PRODs are supposed to be used where the deletion will not encounter opposition. As opposition to the PROD was expressed, I deleted it.
"Proposed deletion (PROD) is a way to suggest an article for uncontroversial deletion. It is an easier method of removing articles than the articles for deletion process (AfD), and is meant for uncomplicated deletion proposals that do not meet the strict criteria for speedy deletion.
PROD must only be used if no opposition to the deletion is expected. It must never be used simultaneously with an AfD, and it may only be placed on an article a single time. Any editor (including the article's creator) may object to the deletion by simply removing the tag; this action permanently cancels the proposed deletion via PROD."

  Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Peekshare. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. It's not a PROD. The PROD was already removed. As I've already said in the edit summary, on the talk page, and on your talk page, it's at AFD. See Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Peekshare. If you keep removing the AFD notice you will likely be blocked. Meters (talk) 20:02, 1 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Welcome! edit

Hello, Mbridge3000, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent contributions have removed content without an explanation. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles.

If you still have questions, there is a new contributors' help page, or you can place {{helpme}} on your talk page along with a question and someone will be along to answer it shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia:

I hope you enjoy editing Wikipedia! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Just follow the rules, and don't remove Articles for deletion templates from articles. This won't stop the discussion from occurring. North America1000 22:12, 1 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Peekshare edit

Please stop adding multiple Keeps to the AFD. We all know your opinion, and adding multiple Keeps is not only not allowed, but that type of overly-vehement defense from an WP:SPA is likely to make other editors wonder if you actually have a WP:COI that you have not disclosed. You are required to disclose if you have a conflict of interest in this article. Working for the company, or for a company hired by that company (say a PR firm) or even being an acquaintance of someone in those positions are all conflicts of interest.

And please stop inserting long quotes into your comments. We can all see what other editors have written, and we all know what the policies say (or can follow the links and read them ourselves). Meters (talk) 03:54, 3 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, Mbridge3000. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Peekshare, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Lemongirl942 (talk) 02:56, 4 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
