Edits to Muhammad edit

I have reverted your removal of the images from this article. Please see Talk:Muhammad/FAQ for the current consensus regarding images on this article. If you wish to discuss them, please use Talk:Muhammad/images. Thanks. Tony Fox (arf!) 20:49, 22 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove information from articles. Wikipedia is not censored, and content is not removed even if some believe it to be contentious. Please discuss this issue on the article's talk page to reach consensus rather than continuing to remove the disputed material. You also have the option to configure Wikipedia to hide the images that you may find offensive. Thank you.—Chowbok 15:40, 23 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

File copyright problem with File:Al-Ahly_Old_Logo.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Al-Ahly_Old_Logo.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. feydey (talk) 17:43, 31 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

August 2013 Egyptian raids edit

there is no mention of wasat's role in the article. kindly add something there?.(Lihaas (talk) 11:32, 19 August 2013 (UTC)).Reply

  • This article is about the political conflict in Egypt, but the two raids on August. To which the police and protesters were part of. Every single source on that page state that those are 'supporters of ousted President Mohamed Morsi', nothing about them being affiliated with any of the political parties you noted from the two month old article.
Furthermore, please selfrevert your latest revert[1], and discus it on the talk page(it would be best it if you did in the first place instead of reverting with Lihaas each other changes over the main article, over the last day)--PLNR (talk) 17:28, 19 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
Reply: No that doesn't address my concerns, please self-revert and discuss.--PLNR (talk) 17:44, 19 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
Reply: Please use Article Talk page to discuss(like I asked here and edit summary), not my personal talk page, this issue includes Lihaas and others may want to comment as well. Furthermore, I see that you continue to make changes as you please, instead of discussing them like you was asked.--PLNR (talk) 17:59, 19 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 17:06, 19 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Rabaa Square before and after edit

Hey Mazidan, I'd like to use your image [Rabaa Square before and after.jpg] in German Wikipadia for [Staatskrise in Ägypten 2013]. Since the upload log in wikimedia reports "this media file is missing essential source information. The author and source of the file must be given, so that others can verify the copyright status. Unless the source is given, the file can be speedily deleted seven days after this template was added and the uploader was notified: (23 August 2013)." I can't use it in German Wikipedia. So when you are able to add such information, it would be great! Thanks für uploading! Greetings, --Anglo-Araneophilus (talk) 11:15, 23 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thank you so! --Anglo-Araneophilus (talk) 14:02, 23 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
Sorry Mazidan, me again. On the one hand wikicommons reports for "File:Rabaa Square before and after.jpg": "21:13, 4 September 2013 Fastily deleted page File:Rabaa Square before and after.jpg (No source since 23 August 2013: you may re-upload, but please cite a verifiable source/reference) (global usage; delinker log)". On the other hand in the English Wikipedia File:Rabaa Square before and after.jpg has been flagged by Sfan00_IMG for transfer to wikicommons as "safe to move it to Commons". I'd like to ask you whether I can transfer this file to commons for usage in German Wikipedia (where it has been deleted yet) again, that means, whether the copy right status allows such a transfer. I thought it would. Can you help here with that information? Greetings, --Anglo-Araneophilus (talk) 11:24, 5 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
