Boldface type in lead section

edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I've taken out the boldface type that you've inserted at 2016 shooting of Dallas police officers. Please see Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Lead_section#Format_of_the_first_sentence, under "Avoid common mistakes": "If the article's title does not lend itself to being used easily and naturally in the opening sentence, the wording should not be distorted in an effort to include it." See, for example, 2011 Mississippi River floods (no bold in type) and 2008 Times Square bombing (no bold in type). Neutralitytalk 03:52, 12 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Citing reliable sources

edit

Please do not insert text without citing a reliable source. Please carefully read and review Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources and Wikipedia:Verifiability. Neutralitytalk 04:42, 12 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Original research

edit

Re this: Wikipedia can't do detective work. So even if we think the news media is wrong (and sometimes they are!) we cannot go off on our own and come up with what we think is the right answer. Please carefully and completely read Wikipedia:Original research and Wikipedia:Verifiability, not truth. Neutralitytalk 13:56, 12 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Accepted Edit Request on Shooting of Philando Castile

edit

Hello,

I have made the changes you requested to the Shooting of Philando Castile. I have removed the model information and left the make of the vehicle in tact.

Thank you,
