Welcome to Wikipedia! edit

Dear Maxtoo: Welcome to Wikipedia, a free and open-content encyclopedia. I hope you enjoy contributing. To help get you settled in, I thought you might find the following pages useful:

Don't worry too much about being perfect. Very few of us are! Just in case you are not perfect, click here to see how you can avoid making common mistakes.

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Wikipedians try to follow a strict policy of never biting new users. If you are unsure of how to do something, you are welcome to ask a more experienced user such as an administrator. One last bit of advice: please sign any dicussion comment with four tildes (~~~~). The software will automatically convert this into your signature which can be altered in the "Preferences" tab at the top of the screen. I hope I have not overwhelmed you with information. If you need any help just let me know. Once again welcome to Wikipedia, and don't forget to tell us about yourself and be BOLD! --A. B. 23:47, 19 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Max McGill, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Importance). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree, discuss the issues raised at Talk:Max McGill. If you remove the {{dated prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. -- Jeandré, 2006-07-01t19:36z

Re [1]: please read our guideline on autobiographies.
Articles may be undeleted, or recreated without undeleting it, if the subject satisfies the notability requirements (please read our verifiability policy and citing style guide first). -- Jeandré, 2006-07-12t19:18z

November 2010 edit

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Ckatzchatspy 00:12, 18 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your only edits involve self-promotional references. Please stop; Wikipedia is not an advertising service, and continued attempt to use the site to promote yourself may lead to a loss of editing privileges. --Ckatzchatspy 08:07, 21 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
