Copy and pasting edit

We run "copy and paste" detection software on new edits. One of your edits appear to be infringing on someone else's copyright. We at Wikipedia usually require paraphrasing. If you own the copyright to this material please send permission for release under a CC BY SA license to permissions-en@wikimedia.org per WP:CONSENT. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=8.8_cm_KwK_43&diff=667212414&oldid=656851337--Lucas559 (talk) 17:25, 20 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

I have added quotation marks. It was not intended as my own creation. It is a quote from the book referenced at the end. Hope that fixes it. MaxRavenclaw (talk) 19:40, 23 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Copyright Violation Detection - EranBot Project edit

A new copy-paste detection bot is now in general use on English Wikipedia. Come check it out at the EranBot reporting page. This bot utilizes the Turnitin software (ithenticate), unlike User:CorenSearchBot that relies on a web search API from Yahoo. It checks individual edits rather than just new articles. Please take 15 seconds to visit the EranBot reporting page and check a few of the flagged concerns. Comments welcome regarding potential improvements.

M4 Sherman edit

I'm glad my participation was helpful and thank you for reviving my thread. As you could probably tell from my userpage, I "specialise" in WWII mythology. So if you happen to come across an article with what may be problematic content, please feel free to ping me. I would not consider myself canvassed. K.e.coffman (talk) 03:07, 16 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Good to know. The reason I started editing Wikipedia was to remove WW2 myths. My first notable edit was on the Kwk36 page, to get rid of the troublesome 100% combat accuracy statement. Had to fight one Dennis for it same as I had to fight Andy this time. It's good to know I can count on someone to back me up in such circumstances. --MaxRavenclaw (talk) 10:30, 16 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Robey Leibbrandt edit

Hey, long time no hear! I'm not sure why this article was on my watch list, but I saw your note and applied some trimming to the article. It appears to be a retelling of a few fan pages, with quite a bit of trivia. (I appear to have removed some of "tribute accounts" earlier: diff.)

Anyway, hope you are doing well. What areas are you editing in these days? K.e.coffman (talk) 06:58, 9 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
