February 2023 edit

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

Request reason:

Hi. I'm sorry, Drmies. I know you've talked to BrookTheHumming because he thought we both got blocked due to sharing WiFi IP for living together and it was thought that it was an IP of multiple accounts. And I thought the same thing when he told me about the blocking, but... I think the real reason is because of some editing that I did wrong, and because of my blocking, that has also affected BrookTheHumming since we both have the IP of the Wifi blocked to edit in Wikipedia. I'm sorry if I made any wrong edits, I don't know if it was because I moved the "101 Dalmatians" page, which was my last edit and I saw that you edited in it before blocking me, but all I did was undo another user's edit. I hope to be unlocked to continue contributing to Wikipedia, and learn more about what protocols to follow to edit, since I'm still a "rookie", since until a few months ago the only Wikis in which I have edited were those of Fandom. Again, sorry if I did any editing wrong. MaxBertín (talk) 16:33, 2 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

This explanation does not adequately explain the pattern of editing that I see when I run the checkuser tool - you aren't simply two different people, using different devices at different times of day on two different IPs. A more fulsome explanation of what is going on will be required before I would consider unblocking. Girth Summit (blether) 20:53, 2 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

[Girth Summit It's okay. I don't know very well if I have to do something, or if it will be the administrators who will do something debating the issue. I just hope to be unlocked in the future. Or at least, change the block from "Indefinite" to a specific time, for example a month, if it is suitable for you due to security issues for the editions. As I said, I just hope I can continue editing in the future to try to help the pages if all this is solved. MaxBertín (talk) 22:38, 2 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
As explained in the denial, the way to get unblocked is to properly explain your editing history and how you will ensure you comply with our policies in particular our policy on WP:SOCK in the future. Nil Einne (talk) 09:49, 3 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
My history of editions are some editions on "Minnie Mouse" and other Mickey & Friends characters, among other Disney franchise pages. I don't know what else to explain. :-( I only know that looking at pages of those franchises I changed the title of the page "101 Dalmatians (franchise)" because a user changed it with letters instead of numbers and the next day my IP was blocked. MaxBertín (talk) 15:37, 3 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
If the problem with breaking the rules on WP:SOCK is because I defended BrookTheHumming in a ProjectDisney discussion a few weeks ago, I admit that yes, I did it to support my friend.
But if the problem is that you're worried about whether I'm going to be supporting him in that sort of thing, I promise I won't get into any more arguments involving him in case I can't be impartial.
If necessary, I even promise not to edit on more pages that he has edited recently, since according to Drmies there has been a problem in which we both have edited on "101 Dalmatians (franchise)" even though they were unrelated edits (since as I said, I only renamed the page when another user changed it, while as I have seen BrookTheHumming only edited a section of the Parks and Resorts a few days before). Yes, the block was because both accounts edited the same article. But I won't be deciding on an unblock--I'll leave that to a colleague. Drmies (talk) 16:49, 2 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
Okay. I'll wait to see if this is resolved. And really, I'm sorry for these troubles caused, as I understand that these types of blocking are to avoid problems in Wikipedia. MaxBertín (talk) 16:59, 2 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
Since I can't edit, can you revert the latest edits made to "101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure" by that user obsessed with the fake "101 Dalmatians III" content? MaxBertín (talk) 19:11, 2 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
