April 2015 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Maui Historical Society", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because Appears to represent a group. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. - McMatter (talk)/(contrib) 00:03, 22 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

March 2016 edit

Hello, I'm Oshwah. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —the one you made with this edit to Bailey House Museum— because it didn’t appear constructive to me. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 03:57, 1 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Maui Historical Society,
If you want to retitle Bailey House Museum you should make the request at Requested moves and present your argument along with reliable sources you have found that verify that the museum has changed its name. The reason why your edit was reversed was because you didn't provide any reference verifying the name change was official.
Also, you are going to get further messages requesting that you change your username. Wikipedia account usernames can not represent groups, companies or organizations, because edits must be attributed to individual editors, your account needs to represent one editor, not a society. September 2016 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Thank you.
