Hi, Mattzaliar! Welcome to Wikipedia!

Hi! I'm Evan Robidoux. I noticed that you are new to Wikipedia, so I decided to say "hi" and help you find your way around. I hope you enjoy being a member of our community!

Wikipedia is a big place and it could seem very, very intimidating at times, even for experienced users like me. But don't let this stop you! Just be bold and don't worry about anything going wrong. Even if you make a mistake, we won't be getting in your face about it. Instead, we'll assume good faith and simply fix it for you.

You may find some of these links helpful...

Also...

  • Another way to recieve help is by placing {{helpme}} on your talk page (the page you are on right now.
  • Always sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~)
  • You can create a user page by clicking on your username (which appears on the top-right corner of your screen) and typing a little bit about yourself. You should visit this page to see how user pages work.

So, when you think you know what you need to know to get a good start on Wikipedia, then go for the "edit this page" tab at the top of the screen! Nothing is stopping you! Be bold! If you have any questions or you don't understand something, remember that you can ask at the help menu or my talk page.

License tagging for Image:England body.png

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:England body.png. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 12:05, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

England strip

edit

Please stop changing the England kit. White is the traditional colour, not some kind of pale blue. The latest fashionable variation by Umbro is copletely unecessary. Jooler

Ignoring comments and doing it your way anyway is not very constructive. Jooler 04:31, 16 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Image:MattyKay.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:MattyKay.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 10:47, 30 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Charlie Adam

No official word of him signing for Liverpool. In fact, if you're watching Sky Sports, you'll know it's not likely to happen at all. So stop changing his article without verifiable sources. The Rambling Man (talk) 21:23, 31 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of File:England-tshirt-kit.png

edit

The file File:England-tshirt-kit.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 21 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
