I can see a case for "widening the net" from "capital cities" to "places which would implicitly be defined in most observers' minds", but I think it would create the sort of maintenance nightmare we see in other countries if we were to do it for everything, as well as creating unnecessary work for readers. Wangaratta

Curious to know about these other "Wangaratta"s. There is no disambiguation page for Wangaratta or even a hatnote at "Wangaratta, Victoria". A search for Wangaratta, Queensland finds a rural locality (no urban area) south of Home Hill - but not enough to be realistically threatening Wang in Vic as PRIME. -- Mattinbgn (talk) 07:06, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

When I was doing the local government articles I hit a Shire of Wangaratta surrounding Bowen, Queensland and an abandoned town there with some interesting history.
