Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, one or more of the external links you added to the page Limousin (region) do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed.   You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, as you did at Sextant properties. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. Martial BACQUET 20:48, 14 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Martial, My page about Sextant Properties has already been deleted but I was not using it as a Spam or for advertising purpose. Can you give me the real reason (someone who had a bad day?)

Sextant Properties

edit

Hi Martial

Another user deleted the page I was trying to improve about sextant properties I am new to wiki and a deletion is really the last thing I wanted to have

Can you tell me what is the best way to have this page again?

Thanks

Mat PS: by the way I am from Cambrai (North of France) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Matcan (talkcontribs) 19:57, 16 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hello Matcan, your page has been deleted because it was redacted like an advertisement. Moreover your compagny doesn't seem to be notable to appear in Wikipedia. I invite you to read this: Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies). If you think that your company is notable, you can ask us to recreate the article for you, but you will have to make a better than the last time. However, adding links like you did on French Regions Articles is considered spamming, this is why I reverted it, and maybe why your article was deleted. The others have probably seen what you did and thought you were spamming. If you have other question, I'm yours on my talk page. Thank you.

PS: I know Cambrai, it is a well-know town with "Betises de Cambrai". I like those candies. So, do you speak French? Martial BACQUET 21:05, 16 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sextant Properties

edit

Hi Martial!

Je suis Francais ton anglais est pas mal non plus!

Here is an article with a quotation about my company:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/property/main.jhtml?xml=/property/2007/06/23/opeuro23.xml&page=3

So If I put this article on Sextant Properties page do you think it will be accepted this time?

Thanks

Hello Matcan, I didn't read this article entirely because I'm tired but it appears to be notable, I will read it better tomorrow. If you want to recreate the article about your company, you can do it on a sandbox page of your user name space. ie: User:Matcan/Sandbox then when you will have finished the article, you move it to its real name inside the article name space. You can cite this article as a reference but don't forget: DO NOT add the text from this article to your article, it would be immediately deleted as a copyright infringement. This is article, even it talks about you, is under copyright. So can add it as a reference or source, but not add the text on Wikipedia. Did you create an article on the French Wikipedia? Talk:Sextant properties

edit

HI. Talk:Sextant properties has been deleted. Please do not recreate it again. It has already been decided via a debate that this is not an appropriate topic for wikipedia, because the primary purpose of the article is to advertize a company. If you continue to make disruptive edits, you will be blocked from further editing. -- RoySmith (talk) 21:10, 23 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
