Hey! I saw that you created a new video game related article- consider joining the Computer and Video Games WikiProject! I have added your article to the list of new articles, and attributed it to you. --PresN 20:24, 11 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Warning

edit

A tag has been placed on Somari, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. If you plan to provide more material to the article, I advise you to do so immediately, and also put a note on Talk:Somari. An administrator should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 1 under Articles. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and then immediately add such material.

User box hint

edit

FYI: If you use the user box layout system that I use (tables and Babel), you can get more user boxes into the same amount of vertical space. Will (Talk - contribs) 05:54, 1 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Personalized article templates

edit

Is there some reason you've created copies/personal versions of some maintenance templates at User:Masky/Templates/Template? Making parallel categories such as Category:Unsourced Articles (when Category:Articles lacking sources already exists) makes maintenance that much harder. Is there some way I can help you find the usual templates to make your work easier? -- nae'blis

Everyone please relax a notch or two

edit

hmm

edit

WP:CIVIL, please. I have every right to join that WikiProject, in fact. You are not the boss, if you make a WikiProject everyone may join. I think you need to actually read Wikipedia:Userbox migration, instead of claiming you know everything. Scepia 21:00, 1 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

tell me

edit

Tell me, where on Wikipedia does it say the userboxes need to be in the userspaces of their creators? If you can find something on Wikipedia:Userbox migration or something, please do. Scepia 21:22, 1 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'm still trying to find out where information like that is, but don't you think that users that made their own userboxes should have it on their own userpage so not only they will following the new rule for userboxes by Jimbo Wales, but they actually get some credit instead of a userbox theif getting all of the credit for them.

the UBXs are moved

edit

Since the UBXs are moved, the edit history is all still intact. So if you really need to know who made it, you can check. But honestly, the way I see it, who cares? I don't think people should be so selfish as to stop the good faith actions of another user, just so they can be self-promoted. Honestly, honestly, we are an encyclopedia, not a popularity contest. Scepia 22:03, 1 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please stop "moving" these userboxes. By copy and pasting the information in two separate places, you are losing the history of the pages. This is not how things should be moved. Please stop. Even if you disagree with Scepia's moves, at least they are done properly. AuburnPilottalk 21:08, 4 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

edit

The said image is copyrighted and may not be used in userboxes. Just thought you would like to know. --The Dark Side 02:01, 4 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sorry about that, I removed it and replaced it with "^_^". Hopefully that will resolve the issues.

Masky 02:08, 4 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks

edit

Thanks for the advice, when I have time, I'll try to rearrange my user page. I appreciate it! Tlim7882 16:46, 4 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

stop copy and pasting

edit

STOP COPYING AND PASTING THE CODE! You are free to move the pages, but YOU MUST USE THE MOVE COMMAND! Do not copy and paste, it destroys the edit history. YOU ARE BREAKING THE GFDL. STOP COPYING AND START MOVING! Scepia 23:28, 4 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

It is also not your job to move them - leave it up to the user. Your elitist "scepia you suck, I'm starting a vanity club" is not helping at all. If users have a problem, they can move the UBXs. Scepia 23:30, 4 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

How do you change your Wikipedia signature? I just wanna know. - Masky 20:48, 10 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

The best place for detailed instructions can be found on WP:SIG - Customizing your signature, but the general idea is to alter the signature field within your preferences. There are many ways to change a signature, but keep in mind the guidelines setup within WP:SIG. No images, templates, blinking text, external links, and so on. Let me know if I can help. Hi there. I thought you might like to know about the discussion as Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Masky/Quests/Quest1Index, about your 'quest' pages. They are being considered for deletion. Please feel free to ask over there if you have any questions. Carcharoth 23:55, 28 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

No more owning

edit

I owned that silly owned template and category. No more please. Seriously. --Cyde Weys 20:10, 29 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

What are you talking about? Masky (Talk | contribs) 20:18, 29 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Oh I get it. I will OWN it from my list now. Masky (Talk | contribs) 20:22, 29 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Regarding your subpages

edit

I noticed you have a good deal of subpages here. All good for encyclopedia purposes. Just so you know, if you do not need a subpage, you can add the {{g7}} template to the top, and someone will delete it as "author requested". Hope this helps. The g7 template is a Speedy Deletion template that will let admins know you wish a page you created, deleted. Regards, Navou banter 21:51, 29 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Barraki.PNG)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Barraki.PNG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Userspace templates deleted

edit

Per Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Masky/Templates/Template/Short, the userspace templates User:Masky/Templates/Template/Short, User:Masky/Templates/Template/Construction and User:Masky/Templates/Template/Unsourced have been deleted along with the category Category:Short Articles. Note that templates in userspace should only be transcluded into user and user talk pages. —Doug Bell talk 20:10, 17 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
