IC Manage

edit

Hi Masklinn,

I saw that you deleted IC Manage's webpage content and turned it into a stub page.

I plan to update their page and wanted to ask you have a specific comment or concern that you feel I should address when I update their page. I didn't write the original page, but I added them to the revision control software page that I believe caught your attention to them.

FYI IC Manage is primarily in the Electronic Design Automation (EDA, or chip design software) industry, so many of their journal/source articles referenced are different from the enterprise software area. I did see that you had a comment on what did IC Manage have to do with Perforce. IC Manage utilizes Perforce software and builds additional features and functionality on top of it.

I posted content for another EDA Vendor and it was reviewed and approved by a wiki admin, so I will ensure that I follow her guidelines for IC Manage when I edit and update their page.

I see you are not active on your talk page, so I hope you will notice my post. If I don't hear from you I will update their page and hope that you will check in with me so that we progress toward a positive outcome.

Thanks! Mukis (talk) 04:32, 27 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

---Hi again Masklinn---

Sorry for my delay in responding. Due to a mess up by my internet provider, I haven't had internet for a few days - I could only just now check in and pick up your message.

Thank you for your specific feedback, it makes sense and is very actionable. FYI, it may take me 2 weeks to pull the new page together. I will notify you on your talk page here once I do so that you can review it, and if more is needed, please let me know.

Thanks again, I appreciate your review and feedback! Mukis (talk) 17:06, 31 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi Masklinn,

I am making progress with the IC Manage page, but am not ready yet. I put something together and wanted someone else to review it before posting. They are suggested changes which means more research first. Mukis (talk) 18:49, 23 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

IC Manage page updated

edit

Hi again Masklinn,

I just put the new IC Manage page up, sorry it took so long. 2 comments:

1. 2nd line of paragraph one on the company. "IC Manage also provides enterprise solutions for large scale Perforce customers." The Perforce enterprise offering is clearly shown on IC Manage's home page and they definitely offer this, but there are no independent trade journal or conference papers on it. however once again I don't have explicit independent discussion on the business model.

2. The last phrase under features: "no additional Perforce licensing is required to use GDP" You requested that I note the pricing model so I found out about it and confirmed it, however, once again, there is no independent published source.

Can you please let me know if I should keep the 2 Perforce comments mentioned above without citations, or delete them? You requested information on Perforce, and I agree it's important, just not sure how to handle (it's first time I haven't been able to track down sources for content).

Thank you again once for your time. Mukis (talk) 22:42, 29 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thanks a lot for the extra review, Masklin...and thank you for your comments! Mukis (talk) 15:58, 2 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Request re IC Manage

edit

Hi Masklinn,

About a year ago, you deleted most of the content in the IC Manage Wikipedia page. I was not the original author, but modified the page to better met Wikipedia standards based on it having only unbiased facts citable by reliable third party sources.

Recently someone put it up under articles for deletion. I modified the page even more after their notice and researching Wikipedia's notability section to show Notability and believe it meets those requirements based on 'significant coverage in reliable third party sources'.

Given you reviewed my original modifications to the IC Manage page, you please take a look and vote on the IC Manage AFD discussion page? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mukis (talkcontribs) 19:22, 17 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
