April 2017
editPlease stop adding unsourced content, as you did to So Amazin'. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Ss112 13:01, 23 April 2017 (UTC)
- Yes, and two wrongs (whoever added urban pop, and you for adding hip hop soul and hip hop) don't make a right. Hip hop soul and hip hop are not sourced on the article either. So you added unsourced content. Ss112 17:14, 24 April 2017 (UTC)
- You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia. Do not source from the sidebar on AllMusic, which is not considered a reliable source of genres per WP:ALBUMAVOID. I'd advise you to leave the genre parameter on It's About Time (Christina Milian album) alone. Ss112 02:43, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- Ss112 personally whoever came up with the idea not to use it, wasn't their most brightest idea... how is using the sidebar harmful? I think it's more helpful if the review itself doesn't mention anything.--Masheenya (talk) 07:17, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- WP:ALBUMAVOID is not my decision. It represents Wikipedia consensus. The sidebar on AllMusic is considered generic, automated and often incorrect, as far as I'm aware. Ss112 07:19, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- Ss112 it just doesn't seem right though is there a way the community could get that changed? --Masheenya (talk) 07:20, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- If you truly feel that the AllMusic sidebar should be considered a reliable source, you can start a discussion on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Albums. That's where previous discussions on its unreliability took place. Ss112 07:21, 25 April 2017 (UTC)

- Ss112 how'd I start that? --Masheenya (talk) 07:22, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- Click on the link I provided, then click on "new section" at the top of the page and then type what you want to say. Do I really need to instruct you on how to start typing on a talk page? Also, you don't have to keep pinging me/typing "u" then my username every two seconds. Your talk page has been watchlisted. Ss112 07:24, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- Found it, BTW the last bit sounds a bit stalkerish if you don't mind. --Masheenya (talk) 07:28, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- You must really be new here. It's common practice to watchlist someone's talk page if you've been communicating with them. Even if it was "stalkerish", I'm sure most users would prefer to do that than have you ping them every time you send a reply. Ss112 08:26, 25 April 2017 (UTC)

June 2019 update
editSee Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Albums/Archive_59#AllMusic_genre_sidebar. The recent discussion with votes 3-0 were "unreliable". 2402:1980:249:48B1:53FF:3276:9D34:F9AA (talk) 04:45, 29 July 2019 (UTC)
If you don't stop with the wp:genre warrior stuff, you will be blocked very quick. wp:cite a wp:reliable source (see above) with every genre (and other) edit. Jim1138 (talk) 08:19, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- Already added a relaible source for Bajan Style.--Masheenya (talk) 08:21, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- Add the citation with the edit. Jim1138 (talk) 08:22, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- What are you on about? I already did that. --Masheenya (talk) 08:23, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- Add the citation with the edit. Jim1138 (talk) 08:22, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
Dappy
editPlease stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by adding your personal analysis or synthesis into articles, as you did at Dappy, you may be blocked from editing. Do not extensively "correct" quotes. We cannot claim somebody said profanity if the source is censored itself. We may think we know what they're saying, but we don't. "C***" could mean anything. Ss112 18:54, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- Can you please stop following everything I do, I don't like it and I find it really uncomfortable, you might think you're helping but I see it differently. --Masheenya (talk) 19:50, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- Then stop adding unsourced genres. Problematic editors can (under WP policy) and should be monitored. You've been warned by two editors now for doing so. Ss112 19:55, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- Nothing I'm adding is unsourced, you're just not being fair; you've gone in all guns blazing and that's not a nice impression of you. --Masheenya (talk) 19:57, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- You added two unsourced genres here and here as well. Nice try. Per WP:WIKIHOUND: "Correct use of an editor's history includes (but is not limited to) fixing unambiguous errors or violations of Wikipedia policy, or correcting related problems on multiple articles." Adding unsourced genres is a violation of Wikipedia policy. I also don't care about your "impression" of me. Ss112 20:00, 25 April 2017 (UTC)

- You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by inserting unpublished information or your personal analysis into an article, as you did at Love.Live.Life. Yet again. Using a dead link to reference genres for an album. Ss112 20:04, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- It even says it here:
"Many users track other users' edits, although usually for collegial or administrative purposes. This should always be done carefully, and with good cause, to avoid raising the suspicion that an editor's contributions are being followed to cause them distress," and what are you doing? That very thing, if you want to help me, fine but don't do it like "you're welcome to come here and edit anything except for this really long list of stuff/or what I edit/plan to edit in the not-too-near-distant-or-maybe-40-years-done-the-line." I get you've been here for years but it still doesn't make you see me as a stupid newbie, they need to take an IQ test before they're allowed on here. P.S., I remember that Evening Standard article and it said that, it's not my fault it's a dead link, it might be on eBay if you want to get a copy of it.--Masheenya (talk) 20:06, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- Yeah, that bit does not negate the bit I quoted that says users can be followed if they have been accused of and there is proof of them violating WP policy. Also, it does not matter if you remember it. The link has to be active for other users to verify what it's saying. You can't reference using a dead link. Ss112 20:13, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- No, it’s just you picking on people and being very uncivil.--Masheenya (talk) 20:14, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- Please point out where I've been uncivil or "picked" on you. You are restoring unsourced content. You are violating WP policy. Ss112 20:18, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- The thing you wrote at the end comes to mind and the constant threats of how I will be blocked also and the continuality of following my every move on here too, on what part does that not come across boorish? --Masheenya (talk) 20:22, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- Users who add unsourced content are reported. If you take automatically generated templates as "threats", that's not my problem. Following your "every move"? Please. You've been here for a few days and you're already off on the wrong foot, adding unsourced content over and over again. Ss112 20:25, 25 April 2017 (UTC)

- I really don't like you, I find you a bit arrogant and all in your screen (as opposed to in your face), I don't think you've made the nicest first impression to begin with, but hey ho, we both could complain until the cows come home and get nowhere, let's just agree to disagree. --Masheenya (talk) 20:28, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- I don't care if you like me or not, and I don't think you would care if I said I didn't like you. Stop adding unsourced genres to articles and you won't have these problems. Ss112 20:31, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- Also, what I found rather blatant and uncalled for was you trying to get someone to do your bidding for you, that should be addressed. --Masheenya (talk) 20:32, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- Jim1138 reverts users who add unsourced content all the time, and I'm asking him to help me out. You don't have the right to remove or edit someone's messages on another's talk page. Also, you complain about apparently being followed and now you're doing it to me? Obviously not attempting to be the bigger person here, I see. Ss112 20:35, 25 April 2017 (UTC)

- You know what; find something to edit and I will respect you and not edit whatever you chose and you do the same for me and that includes not getting someone else involved because you didn't get what you wanted as an outcome.--Masheenya (talk) 20:37, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- Dude, I have plenty to edit, I didn't "follow" you to find things to edit. You added unsourced content, which I repeat is against WP policy. Jim1138 was already involved. He had reverted you for adding unsourced content and warned you above. I just told you: stop adding unsourced content and you won't have these problems with editors. Seems you can't commit to not doing that. Ss112 20:46, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- I'm bored of you. --Masheenya (talk) 21:01, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
Caution: Original Research
editHi. While your contributions are appreciated it is extremely important that any material you add that is not of an obviously non-controversial nature must be properly cited to an independent reliable source. Original research is not acceptable for verification purposes. Please see also WP:Verifiability for further discussion. Persistently adding unsourced or improperly sourced material can be seen as a specie of disruptive editing which can result in sanctions, including the loss of editing privileges. Thank you again for your contributions. Best regards... -Ad Orientem (talk) 21:05, 25 April 2017 (UTC) |
Disambiguation link notification for April 28
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Marc Anthony, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Freestyle. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
