Hi mary, i saw that you were interested in working in a museum and that you grew up near Chicago, what museum would you like to work at? science and industry downtown or maybe one in another state? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ajdeyou (talkcontribs) 21:50, 29 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Freshman year i was interested in law school but within the past couple years I have become more and more interested in the middle east, i don't know where to go with the interest, but Poli Sci makes the most sense to me for now at least Ajdeyou (talk) 01:40, 30 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Regarding a userbox on your page edit

I've removed the image from the userbox on your page stating you went to Reavis High School. Because it's a logo, it's considered a copyrighted image, and therefore can't be used anywhere except where there is a rationale to use it per Wikipedia's non-free content criteria. Specifically, non-free media is never allowed in userspace. You're welcome to replace it with a letter or perhaps a generic school-related glyph such as this one. If you have any other questions, feel free to let me know on my talk page. elektrikSHOOS (talk) 00:35, 2 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Survey edit

Hi Marymjones!

I have put together a survey for female editors of Wikipedia (and related projects) in order to explore, in greater detail, women's experiences and roles within the Wikimedia movement. It'd be wonderful if you could participate!

It's an independent survey, done by me, as a fellow volunteer Wikimedian. It is not being done on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation. I hope you'll participate!

Just click this link to participate in this survey, via Google!

Any questions or concerns, feel free to email me or stop by my user talk page. Also, feel free to share this any other female Wikimedians you may know. It is in English, but any language Wikimedia participants are encouraged to participate. I appreciate your contributions - to the survey and to Wikipedia! Thank you! Capitalization of headings edit

Hi Mary. thanks for your contributions to the Oregon Republican Party article. I want to point out that the way you're capitalizing the headings within the article violates the Wikipedia Style Manual. I fixed this once in November, so I'm going to ask you to fix it this time. The Wikipedia style for capitalizing headings is to use "sentence case" instead of "title case", e.g.,

Important things to know about this subject

not:

Important Things to Know About This Subject

This may be unfamiliar to many editors who believe that or have been taught that "title case is the right way to capitalize headings". It isn't the "right way", it is one style. Wikipedia has, for better or worse, chosen to follow a different style, i.e., capitalize the heading the same way you would capitalize any sentence:

  • capitalize the first word,
  • capitalize any proper nouns (people, places, organizations), and
  • begin all other words with lower case letters.

See WP:MSH for more information. Thanks. Ground Zero | t 01:57, 20 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
