You are shilling for your company, which is prohibited by Wikipedia.

I've openly represented myself as affiliated with Webloyalty in accordance with Wikipedia guidlines. As explained before, my objective is simply to add some background and updated information about Webloyalty so that the article is more neutral and factual which is the objective of Wikipedia. At the very least, a few more facts should be cited about Webloyalty so that readers can recognize the Webloyalty programs when they come across them online (see Bloomberg Business Week,DMNews.com June 10, 2008 and DMNews.com July 30, 2008) and updated information should be added with Webloyalty's response to the Senate Commerce Committee report that was cited seven months ago in the "Criticism" section (see CBS8.com). I hope we can collaborate and reach an agreement on the addition of more facts so that the article is more neutral and more updated.Mary,Webloyalty (talk) 15:52, 17 June 2010 (UTC)Mary,WebloyaltyReply
Because you work for Webloyalty, you have a conflict of interest regarding it. This doesn't mean you can't edit its article, but users will be inclined to see your edits as promotional, and major edits to the article are strongly discouraged (although I doubt anyone would care if you fixed spelling). Instead of editing the page itself, I would suggest using its talk page to discuss any significant changes. Even though you work for Webloyalty, you can still get the article changed if your suggestions are supported with reliable sources and follow a neutral point of view.   1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

Hello UKexpat. Thank you for taking the time to post this information on my Talk page. I am now fully aware of Wikipedia's Conflict Of Interest policy and will be collaborating with other Wikipedia's editors on the Talk page to recommend edits that would give the Webloyalty article a more neutral and objective point of view. Hello Bart133, thank you for your welcome. Irresepective of your intent, your user name is a clear violation of our user name policy. – ukexpat (talk) 01:09, 20 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
Didn't realize it was a violation until now. No problem, I'll take care of getting a new user name that meets Wikipedia's policies. Thanks for the information. Mary,Webloyalty (talk) 14:17, 20 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a few moments to create a new account with a username that represents only you. If your username doesn't represent a group, organization or website, you may ask for a review of this username block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}. Thank you.
