Deletion in Meme article

Hi Maru, I had a question about your recent edit to the Meme article. You deleted this paragraph:

The 'selfish gene' on which the meme is based ignores transcription factors and that only genes that work together are evolutionarily successful. The meme then stands on a metaphor rather than on biological science. 'The Selfish Genes', genes working together promoting the fitness of individuals, fighting for a spot on the team, is a somewhat more apt description of evolution but with this more accurate description of evolution the foundation of memetics is undermined.

Your edit notes simply say "Rv. I disagree". Could you explain what you disagree with on the meme talk page? You may have good reason for not reverting the statement, but I think it would be fair to 24.10.221.159 to have more than a two word rebuttal.

Quite simply, I disagree with the anon's characteterization of the selfish gene as a "metaphor" and not a reality. While it is trivially true that not all genes can be selfish (since otherwise the organisms would die), that doesn't prove "that only genes that work together are evolutionarily successful", and thus the body of the anon's argument is invalid. --maru (talk) contribs 23:10, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

Star Wars Editing: Master Plan

Hello, Marudubshinki, or however you would like to be called... ah, yes. You see, "minor Star Wars ships" was moved to something like "list of minor Star Wars ships". I was going to put the first one under AfD, and uh, had something to do urgently before I could finish it. Anyway, I wasn't familiar with how to do it, so... Just maru is fine. See, I don't like capitals, and the first name is maru, and the last name dubshinki, so in relaxed situations like this, that leaves just "maru".

OK, I've found the page in questin: it was Darth Vader. I'd intended just to delete an extraneous word that had somehow been inserted in the text, but for some reason it deleted the end of the article as well.
