Fair use rationale for File:Topgraphic.gif

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Topgraphic.gif. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 20:57, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

Regarding your thoughts about "giving up" on wikipedia, we've all gone through this one way or the other. Do not give up too soon. Just keep asking questions and find out how the place works. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 22:29, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

Ongoing Conflicts

The Afghan civil war has had more phases of foreing intervention such as the Soviet Intervention period. It's still Afghans fighting Afghans and the war will most likely continue after Americans leave. The same situation is for the Somali Civil War which was listed there, it's had several periods, some of foreing involvements but we list the whole civil war and not just the 2009-Present part. Fact is the Afghan Civil War never ended and that's why it should be listed on the page of ongoing conflicts.Kermanshahi (talk) 21:35, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

Civil War in Afghanistan

It doesn't really matter why the US intervened, it's still a continuation of the same war. First it was the Taliban fighting the Northern Alliance, now the NA is the government/military and they are still fighting the Taliban, only thing changed is that the US is helping the government against insurgents, just like the Soviets were helping the Communist government against the insurgents. Bottom line is, the war never stopped and it's still Afghans fighting Afghans only they're going through a period of foreing intervention, what the motives of the foreigners are is completely irrelevant.Kermanshahi (talk) 10:09, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
