April 2014 edit

Hello, I'm Acroterion. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more references you added, because they seemed to be promoting a book that you wrote. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links, and please remember that it's not appropriate to promote or reference one's own works in most cases. Thank you. Acroterion (talk) 17:08, 24 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Dorothy Kilgallen edit

The various conspiracy theories surrounding her death have been extensively debated on the talk page of the article and there is a strong consensus that there is insufficient coverage within reliable (non-fringe) secondary sources to introduce this into the article. See WP:FRINGE and particularly WP:PROFRINGE. Best regards... -Ad Orientem (talk) 18:44, 26 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. I notice that many of your edits appear to be self promotional in nature. This is not allowed on Wikipedia. Thank you. Ad Orientem (talk) 19:01, 26 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Sockpuppet investigation edit

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Markshaw, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

I have withdrawn the sockpuppet investigation as I think you may not have been aware of the rules on the subject. -Ad Orientem (talk) 22:24, 26 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

November 2016 edit

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add soapboxing, promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Dorothy Kilgallen, you may be blocked from editing. Ad Orientem (talk) 22:02, 26 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
