{{helpme}}

(I'm the IP address that changed dev's release data)

I hope this is the correct way of asking things, and if so:

A week ago I editted Dev-C++'s wiki release details to the new version on my blogspot site. I changed the status back to active, updated the version number and upped a new picture, toegether with a line of text. Now, however, you've decided to revert the version number back to the last official one.

I tried to e-mail Colin Laplace (the original developer) a few weeks ago about adding 4.9.9.3 to the web update channel, but he hasn't responded yet (or ever will probably).

This leads to me thinking the whole 'official' project is no more. That's why I editted the Official release date.

So, erm, do you agree with me about setting the release date to the one of my version?

Oh, and, sorry about making that last sentence in the content sound too markety.

Since your project is an unofficial fork of the original, I didn't think it seemed right to have it as the version number on the infobox. The reason I actually edited the page was because I was doing some research on Dev-C++ and noticed that Wikipedia and the Bloodshed website had different information. I was confused until I had read the entire article. I like what you've done to the page since, however. Having both version numbers up there works well. —Markekeller (talk) 15:43, 14 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
