I saw your edits and comments on the Barney Oldfield article. The article does need some serious expansion and citations. Feel free to edit it relentlessly. Be careful not to use words like "brutal" or "stirring victory" because they don't meet the formal tone of an encyclopedia. I agree that the International Motorsports is not an ideal source because it has the problems that you have indicated. He deserves a better article than what exists right now. I noticed your submission in Articles for creation, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Jeff Belskus. Thanks! It will be reviewed by a volunteer soon.

Before it can be added to Wikipedia, your submission should have references. All articles on Wikipedia should have inline, numbered references after facts, showing the 'reliable source' (a newspaper, book, etc.) where the information can be checked, so that all information is verifiable.

Here's a video tutorial - hit play, then right-click for "full screen".

Here's an example of how to add references:

That makes the references automatically display as small numbers^[1] which will link to the details in the section titled == References == at the end. You can see that example in action here.

Thanks for your feedback but I must be missing something. My article on Jeff Belskus includes 4 references specific to his roles serving on the boards of several institutions. What else do I need to do?
