Proposed deletion of Legend of Zelda (upcoming Wii game)

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Legend of Zelda (upcoming Wii game), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Wikipedia is not a crystal ball.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Articles for deletion nomination of Legend of Zelda (upcoming Wii game)

edit

I have nominated Legend of Zelda (upcoming Wii game), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Legend of Zelda (upcoming Wii game). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Vivio TestarossaTalk 21:43, 19 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

It is a future game that has very little information released about it. It wouldnt make a very good article until more is said about it. We dont plan on having a halfdone article sitting there while we wait for more info. Just wait and it will be created later. Thanks for trying to help though. --Blake (talk) 23:06, 20 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Legend of Zelda (upcoming Wii game). Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. MuZemike 23:54, 20 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello

edit

I guess I should have made myself more clear on what I had meant by the deletion notice, but basically what I was trying to say is that currently there is not enough reliable sources to create article for this particular Zelda game. I don't have anything against this article being kept, assuming you can provide some reliable sources to back up the claims in the article otherwise it looks like original research, which is not permitted on Wikipedia. If you need help finding some reliable sources, or have any other questions please post a message on my talk page. Sorry for the delayed reply. Vivio TestarossaTalk 21:45, 21 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Legend of Zelda (upcoming Wii game)

edit

A tag has been placed on Legend of Zelda (upcoming Wii game), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. I'm Listening

edit

Prior to this comment. The topic has been discussed and the conclusion is somewhat clear. We cannot leave a half done articles in Wikipedia to be fixed on when new sources come about. It would be best to have some patience and let the article be deleted. Then recreate it when a lot of press coverage has occurred. Thanks. NPervez (talk) 18:24, 25 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

A tag has been placed on a page you created requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion process. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article and put a note on the page's discussion page saying why this article should stay. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead of continuing to recreate the page. Thank you. Thank you for uploading File:World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Image Screening Bot (talk) 01:02, 14 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:World_Heavyweight_Champion_Jack_Swagger.png

edit

Thank you for uploading File:World_Heavyweight_Champion_Jack_Swagger.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 09:36, 14 June 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey (talk) 09:36, 14 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 03:03, 15 June 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 03:03, 15 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Inappropriate edit summaries

edit

Insulting edit summaries such as this one violate our policy against personal attacks, and will result in you being blocked if you continue with them. I reverted the edit as well: a source is necessary to show a change of name, even if the marriage has a source.—Kww(talk) 16:55, 18 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

First, edit summaries like that are attacks, even if phrased in the form of a question. And yes, if you continuously add material to biographies without providing sources, you'll get blocked.—Kww(talk) 17:21, 20 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Moving pages without first gaining consensus

edit

is never a good idea, especially when they are bound to be controversial, such as you did here. In the future, please read this policy on moving pages, and ALWAYS discuss the proposed move first on the article's talk page. You can do that by adding {{movenotice}} to the talk page of the article you would like to move, followed by a discussion of the proposed move. Don't just move pages about because of something that happened on televsion.   ArcAngel   (talk) ) 19:41, 10 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of WWE Over The Limit (2011)

edit

The article WWE Over The Limit (2011) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Future event which is not yet independently notable; references are almost entirely promotion by WWE

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.  Chzz  ►  22:48, 15 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Well if WWE is the creator, then it is the most reliable source, how much brain power does it take to realize that? Mario & Luigi RPG 3 (talk) 23:08, 15 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
