Want some help? edit

Hello, Mariannan, It looks like you've been template bombed. If you'd like some help figuring out what's going on, you can ask here. I suggest you don't create any more new articles in this series until things get ironed out. --Floquenbeam (talk) 22:15, 4 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • I need some help. So I understood.
  • OK, first step (it's important): don't remove the WP:AFD tags from the top of the article. They are a notice of a discussion that you cannot close by yourself. If you remove them again, someone is going to block your account from editing, for disruption. --Floquenbeam (talk) 13:40, 5 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Ok, ok. I won't do this again. I swear. No more removing the WP:AFD tags.
Your promise seems somewhat lacking in weight "Understood. No more this, I swear. [[User:|Mariannan]] (talk) 4:40 pm, Yesterday (UTC−5)" Gaijin42 (talk) 14:30, 5 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Fine! This is my last warning. I will not remove the WP:AFD tags never again.
  • Second thing: The AFD discussion will last 7 days, so don't panic. Read the AFD notice someone left on your page (I think you removed it, but you should look at it and read it), then calmly participate in the discussion there. That's where it will be decided whether to keep these articles, or whether to redirect them to the article about the series, or create a new "List of.." article. --Floquenbeam (talk) 13:45, 5 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Thanks.
  • Last thing for now: I am not going to be around much this weekend, but I'll check in if I can to see how things are going. If you need an explanation of something, look at your welcome message above for how to use the {{helpme}} tag. Or find the most polite person to comment at the AFD, and ask them. --Floquenbeam (talk) 13:50, 5 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Understood. But can you check Vitamin Pink? I think there's an error. 13:56, 5 November 2011 (UTC)
    • Laugh track option. 14:06, 7 November 2011 (UTC)
  • Well, the problem is that none of this is sourced, so there's no way for me to check if it's correct or not. You should probably spend some time looking for sources WP would consider reliable (if they exist), and mention them at the AFD discussion. Otherwise, from the way the AFD is going, I think the articles are probably going to be replaced with redirects to the article on the series. --Floquenbeam (talk) 14:15, 7 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • I guess so. I better fix that error. I understood. 14:43, 7 November 2011 (UTC)
  • What am I doing wrong? Say it!

what you are doing wrong edit

I have tried to talk to you several times, and you have deleted all warnings, and attempts at communication. You have now violated the 3 revert rule, by reverting my changes 4 times. Your articles were redirected by consensus via the AFD process. You keep unoding that. That is what you are doing wrong. Gaijin42 (talk) 17:01, 28 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • Just delete those shorts that I've made, so no one won't know it. And then I'll begin a new arcs without messing around.

Your recent editing history shows that you are in danger of breaking the three-revert rule, or that you may have already broken it. An editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Breaking the three-revert rule often leads to a block.

If you wish to avoid being blocked, instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to discuss the changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. You may still be blocked for edit warring even if you do not exceed the technical limit of the three-revert rule if your behavior indicates that you intend to continue to revert repeatedly.

  • I'm doomed! What should I do? At this rate, I'll be block forever! I want to be a Wikipedia editor, not to mess around!
1) stop making reverts of the redirects that were done. 2) stop deleting attempts to communicate with you from your talk page. 3) On your most recent revert, revert your own change, as a sign of good faith. any block you recieve as a result of this is likely to be temporary, as long as you have good behavior going forward. However, you have a very bad track record of being warned repeatedly, and then doing the same behavior again (Like deleting the AFD templates repeatedly) Gaijin42 (talk) 17:11, 28 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • What are revert and redirects? But how will I make my own arc?
A redirect is making one page automatically go to another. For example, an individual episode article being redirected to the show/series article. A revert is undoing someone elses changes. Wikipedia has a 3 revert rule, meaning you are not allowed to undo changes on an article more than 3 times in 24 hours, to prevent edit warring. You can make your own articles, but in the case of these episode/short articles, the AFD process determined that they are not noteworthy on an individual basis, and should only have the series articles for now. Gaijin42 (talk) 17:19, 28 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

episode/short articles edit

So, You clearly have a passion for this topic. That is a good thing. Create a section in each of the "show" pages, with a summary of each episode/short. The problem we have with the mass articles you created is that they had all the same content, that shows that the notability is at the series level, and not the short/episode level. If individual episodes are notable, by being referenced repeatedly in other movies/shows, or receiving significant individual discussion (as opposed to the series getting discussion), then that individual short may be able to be expanded into a full article. However, thus far they are all the same. Add the details into the series articles for now. Ask if you have questions or are confused, but don't just undo what other people are doing, we are doing it for a reason. Gaijin42 (talk) 17:17, 28 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • Can you delete these articles I've made wrong, please? And I will make a better ones. What will happen if these articles shorts/episode are the same? Are they going to be deleted?
As far as I am aware, at the current time, all of the articles are currently redirected to the series articles, so no further action needs to be taken. If you create brand new articles , each one would be evaluated on its own to see if it meets WP:42 rules about notability, reliability, etc. If you recreate one of the articles you have already created, you are going to have to make a fairly strong case to override the existing consensus that those articles should not exist. It would be best to do that by getting pre-approval for those articles by starting a discussion on the talk page of the series. Gaijin42 (talk) 17:25, 28 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • I will forget about "Create a section in each of the "show" pages, with a summary of each episode/short. The problem we have with the mass articles you created is that they had all the same content, that shows that the notability is at the series level, and not the short/episode level.". I don't know if I will be able to recreate them once again. What about "Say Cheese, Please" and Can-Can-Canadian" I've made? Are they good enough?
Dont forget to sign your comments with four tildes. In my opinion, those two articles should also be redirected, but they were not noticed by the previous articles for deletion process. I dont understand what you mean by "I will forget about create a section". Do you mean you find that suggestion unacceptable? Gaijin42 (talk) 17:52, 28 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • I got it. Now I'm on my way!
So I see you re-re-reverted the aardvark article again. I think you are either still confused about what is going on, or intentionally ignoring policy. Can you talk a bit about what your intent is in putting that page back? Gaijin42 (talk) 19:20, 28 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Well, I've changed some errors. So is this not enough?
The problem with the articles is not "errors", it is that the episodes are not Notable. please read that link and make sure you understand it. Also please understand WP:NOTINHERITED. Unless you can show that individual episodes are notable (by people discussing or referencing that particular episode, not the entire series), then we shouldn't have pages about those episodes. The only information about that individual episode is the very short plot summary, and the infobox. That is not enough unique information for an article, especially if you want an entire series of articles about each episode. Gaijin42 (talk) 19:50, 28 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Now I get it. But Summary, you said? I'll do it right away.
What I am suggesting : Add plot summary infomation for every episode, to the main series article. Not to the articles for each episode. Gaijin42 (talk) 20:00, 28 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Summary plot for the Aarvark has been added.
You do not understand, or are intentionally trolling me. The summary belongs in the series page, not in the page for each episode. there should not be a page for each episode. Gaijin42 (talk) 20:32, 28 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • I get it. The summary belongs in the series page, not shorts. Summary of the shorts are...

Do not create, add, or restore hoaxes to Wikipedia, such as you did with the article User talk:Mariannan. Hoaxes are caught and marked for deletion shortly after they are created. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia – and then to correct them if possible.
