My name is Maria Davydenko and I am a student of public policy at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. I've been a faithful user of Wikipedia since 2006 but only recently signed on as a full contributor. I am interested in the way technology can be used to promote socioeconomic growth in developing countries, whether through Twitter, MANET, off-grid renewables, or Government 2.0. Entrepreneurship in emerging economies makes me happy, as does using business to effect social change.

Originally from Kaliningrad, Russia, I was whisked off to Alaska by mother as a child and have since lived/studied in Philadelphia; Washington, DC; the Netherlands; and China.
