Proposed deletion of Dorothy Vaughan edit

The article Dorothy Vaughan has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Help me! edit

Hi! Just added a new entry, Dorothy Vaughan. I've added two references, including one to an obituary. This person was incorrectly flagged as a living person. I'm going to edit out the flag tag but was curious as to why it was categorized as a living person. Thanks!

Hi Margot. Those tags are added manually, so it looks like someone just made a mistake (you can see their edit here). Anyway, I've removed the tag for you. Thanks for your contributions; it looks like a good start to the article. — Earwig talk 05:08, 18 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
Mea culpa - I was the one who added that tag, Margotleeshetterly. I failed to notice the death date at the start of the article. Instead, I looked for anything about her death at the end, after retirement, and when I did not find it I jumped to the wrong conclusion that she was still alive. Thanks for sorting out my mistake, The Earwig. I have since updated the article to add that information at the end. Good luck with this article, and with whatever comes next.--Gronk Oz (talk) 11:27, 18 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
