USS Wickes (DD-578 and 75) edit
I've got some bad news. Your article USS Wickes (DD-578) has already been written. Its correct title is USS Wickes (DD-75). DD-758 was a completely different ship that wasn't built until 1942. If you type these words into Google; "USS Wickes DD-75" you will see a list of references for the fact that the ship you wrote about is really DD-75 (Destroyer 75). Similarly, Googling "USS Wickes DD-578" will lead to a list of references for a completely different ship built in 1942. I didn't compare your article in detail to USS Wickes (DD-75), but if you have any new information it should be added to the existing article, rather than starting a new article with the wrong title. You could, of course, start over with a new article about DD-758, which Wikipedia apparently doesn't have yet.Art LaPella 00:54, September 12, 2005 (UTC)
